Prerequisites for admission to the program

A person with at least a bachelor's degree or an academic degree equivalent to it, who is enrolled based on the results of the master's examinations (common master's examination and specified examination/examinations), is entitled to study in the master's program.

Applicants for admission to the master's program must have a document or certificate confirming the B2 level of English or must present a document confirming the acquisition of the B2 level. In case the person fails to present the relevant certificate, he must pass the exam at the exam center in a foreign (English) language.

According to the legislation of Georgia, the internal university exam in a specialty and a foreign language is mandatory for foreign citizens. A candidate who has a certificate confirming knowledge of English at B2 level, as well as a candidate who has completed a full undergraduate or master's course in English, is exempted from the English language test.

Purpose of the program

Business Administration (Logistics) - the goal of the master's program is to prepare a qualified staff equipped with in-depth knowledge of the field, corresponding to the requirements of the labor market, who will have in-depth and systematic knowledge corresponding to the requirements of the local and international market, to solve the existing tasks and problems of business administration, in particular logistics; The program is focused on training competitive specialists with theoretical knowledge and practical skills of logistics analysis and management, scientific research and creative work skills, who will contribute to the development of the field through modern research activities, strategic planning and solving practical tasks.

Discusses in depth and systematically the modern concepts, theories, approaches and models of business management, as well as logistics;

In order to increase the value of the company, he uses quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzes statistical data and based on them, evaluates and builds logistic models, interprets the results. Using modern research methods, makes managerial decisions to increase the company's profitability.

Assessment of student achievement

As a rule, the achievement of the student's assessment is carried out by assessment forms:

  • Intermediate (multiple) evaluation: 60% of the maximum evaluation
  • Intermediate exam grade: 20% of the maximum grade
  • Final (one-time) assessment: 40% of the maximum assessment

 

Assessment Methods (assessment tools): Laboratory Work, MCQ, OSCE, Practical work, Oral assessment, Question-Answer (Q/A), Presentation, Practical procedure assessment, Role play, CBL assessment, Scientific project, other. (See syllabuses)

Assessment Criteria: Assessment methods are measured by assessment criteria, which determine the level of achievement of learning outcomes and are described in detail in the relevant syllabuses.

Each assessment form (interim assessment, interim exam, final assessment) has a defined minimum competence threshold. Depending on the specifics of the course and the interest in achieving learning outcomes, this threshold may vary across different courses. The minimum competence threshold for the final assessment should not exceed 60% of the final assessment.

• Meeting the minimum competence requirements for assessments is mandatory.

• Students are allowed to take the final exam if they have obtained a minimum passing score in the interim assessments.

The evaluation system allows:

Positive evaluation:

(A) Excellent – Evaluation range 91-100 points;

(B) Very Good – Maximum evaluation range 81-90 points;

(C) Good – Maximum evaluation range 71-80 points;

(D) Satisfactory – Maximum evaluation range 61-70 points;

(E) Sufficient – Maximum evaluation range 51-60 points.

Negative evaluation:

(FX) Did Not Pass- The maximum evaluation is 41-50%, which means that the student needs more effort to be released, failure to meet assigned requirements does not reduce the significance of significant issues, and the right to develop a reworked master's thesis next year is granted.

(F) Failed -A maximum evaluation of 40% or less indicates that the master’s student has not fully met the assigned requirements and therefore has the right to develop the same thesis.
